Getting Back to the Swing of Things.

It’s been a little over a week since I have been in Solna, and I am finally starting to feel normal again. I have no idea why, but the jet lag this time around has been pretty horrible. I have been waking up around 3 in the morning, falling back to sleep around 7, just in time to wake up for work. Then I am pretty much in a coma for the rest of the day. I have continued with my workouts although they have definitely not been the best quality. It feels as though I am somehow cheating because I haven’t been training basketball since there isn’t a gym available to me. I have started the second round of my weight lifting program, and now my workouts are starting to feel good. I am down to lifting sets of 8 reps. This allows me to move some really heavy weight. I haven’t gone lower than 10 reps in years, so it’s kind of a new feeling. It’s fun to go heavy and still feel exhausted after the workout.
I will continue lifting, doing conditioning, plyometrics and agilities until I move to Uppsala to start playing for Sallen. When I start basketball practice, I will have to really plan on how to fit lifting into my schedule not only to prepare for games, but to prepare for another season of Gladiatorerna which will be taped in November. I usually slim down quite a bit during the basketball season due to all of the running, so I will really have to plan my diet and lifting program carefully in order to keep as much size as possible.
Here are some pics from my leg workout yesterday. It was the first one the that I didn’t feel like throwing up after.;) Now it’s time to sleep. I have a date with the treadmill at 7.30.:)
