It’s been a great week so far!

There has been a lot of things going on for me this week. Everyone knows that the first episode of Gladiatorerna aired last Saturday, but before I could watch it, my team played our first game of a best-of-5 semifinals in Luleå against Northland. We ended up losing that game after a pretty lack-luster performance defensively on our part. When my teammates gathered together in my hotel room to watch the re-run of the show on TV4 Play, it was hard to really enjoy it because all I could think about was the loss. On Wednesday, it was time for a rematch against Northland, and this time we were playing at home. We knew how important this game was. It’s extremely hard to come back to win three games straight when a team is down 0-2. We came out of the gates in attack mode from the vey first minute and never slowed down. We walked away with a 21 point win and momentum going in to Game 3 tomorrow in Luleå.
On Thursday I was able to knock out two very important appointments, the dentist and the gynecologist. I am not afraid of the dentist, but I am extremely picky on who I go to. I want to make sure that I find one that really knows what they are doing and won’t rip me off. After asking around for a good dentist in Uppsala, I was recommended to see Laszlo Nagy several times. He works a lot with the men’s basketball team in Uppsala. Laszlo was awesome! He made me a mouth guard that I can use for basketball and Gladiatorerna, and did a thorough examination with ex-rays. He was on top of everything, even telling me that he will call me in one year to schedule another check-up. I found a dentist that I definitely trust!!!:D
The next appointment was the gynecologist. I booked this appointment for two reasons. First, every woman should get a thorough examination, and two, because my twin sister found two fibroid cysts and one is as big as a grapefruit. She needs surgery to remove them. I know that fibroid cysts are not cancerous, but I was not looking forward to having surgery and not being able to train for 6 weeks after. During the examination, the doctor did find a cyst, but it’s only 10mm in diameter, so there is no need to do anything about it, and the rest of my reproductive organs look great! That was definitely the best news of the day!
After a long day of work, working out, my team will fly to Luleå tonight to prepare for the game tomorrow at 15.00. The game will be on Viasatsport.se if anyone wants to watch. Have a great weekend everyone, and enjoy watching episode 2 of Gladiatorerna! I hope my next blog will be filled with good news about the game.:)
